VETERANS DAY DRIVE-THRU APPRECIATION LUNCHEON

GADSDEN COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO HOST VETERANS DAY DRIVE-THRU APPRECIATION LUNCHEON
 
GADSDEN COUNTY, FL - -In place of the annual Veterans Day Program at the Gadsden County Courthouse, the Gadsden County Board of County Commissioner Department of Veterans Affairs will be hosting a special Veterans Day Drive-Thru Appreciation Luncheon on Wednesday, November 11.
 
The drive-thru luncheon will be held from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in front of the Gadsden County Agricultural Building, 240 West Jefferson Street, Quincy. Veterans should enter in their vehicles from Highway 90.
 
The annual Veterans Day Program, usually brings hundreds of residents and visitors to the courthouse, was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
 
“Gadsden County has a long tradition of honoring our local veterans who have served in the Armed Forces,” Gadsden County Commission Chairman Anthony Viegbesie said. “It is important that we continue to honor the brave men and women who put their lives on the line to protect and defend our country’s freedoms.”
 
Strict social distancing protocols will be in place, and face coverings are required to be worn at all times during the event. Interested veterans should sign up by emailing ssolis@gadsdencountyfl.gov or call (850) 875-8650.
