Gadsden CARES Direct Assistance to the Community

If you have been impacted by COVID-19, you may be eligible to receive direct assistance through Gadsden County’s Gadsden CARES program. 

The Gadsden CARES expenditure plan, approved by the Board of County Commissioners in August 2020, uses federal dollars to fund essential public health and safety expenditures related to COVID-19, including direct assistance, to individuals experiencing financial hardship, a variety of human service needs, critical economic relief to the local business community, and direct COVID-related costs incurred by the County, Constitutional, Judicial Offices, and the City of Chattahoochee, the Town of Greensboro, the City of Gretna, the Town of Havana, the City of Midway and the City of Quincy.

Residents in Gadsden County who lost their job or had their work hours reduced because of COVID-19 may apply for mortgage, rent, and utility assistance through the Gadsden County CARES Resident Assistance Program.

Small Businesses in Gadsden County who have been impacted by COVID-19 may apply for mortgage, rent, utilities, payroll, business losses, and other COVID-19 related expense assistance through the Gadsden County CARES Small Business Assistance Program.
Gadsden County’s CARES portal  www.gadsdencares.com will allow you to:
Apply for direct assistance (residential, business). Citizens who registered will have accounts in the Gadsden County CARES portal and be able to input their application information and upload their supporting documentation in the portal.

Paper applications can be picked up at the Edward J. Butler Governmental Complex Building, 9 East Jefferson Street, Quincy, FL 32351.
