Join Us for a Celebration of Culture, Music, and Community!

The Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners and the Gadsden County Tourist Development Council are excited to present the Black History Month Soul Stroll in Historic Downtown Quincy. This vibrant celebration will take place on Friday, February 21, starting at 5:30 p.m. with a live performance by DJ Lamar Thomas.

Event Highlights:

  • Live Music: From jazz to hip-hop to rhythm and blues, enjoy a mix of live performances from local talent.
  • Dancing: Join in on the fun with line dancing and live music in the heart of downtown.
  • Food & Drink: Explore local dining options, including CJ’s Kitchen and Catering, Big Papa’s Chop House, Bantam Bay, and J&A Seafood Plus.



Event Schedule:

  • 5:30 p.m.Stroll 1: DJ Chuck at CJ’s Kitchen and Catering (18 S. Adams Street)
  • 6:30 p.m.Stroll 2: Trailride Line Dancing featuring Dr. Tika Wiggins with DJ Lamar Thomas at the Southwest Corner of the Courthouse Square (Across from Big Papa’s Chop House)
  • 7:30 p.m.Stroll 3: Ayonna Charese and Rehab at Bantam Bay (19 Madison Street)
  • 8:30 p.m.Stroll 4: Legacy Band at LR’s (103 East Jefferson Street)



Event Location

The Soul Stroll will span four blocks around the Gadsden County Courthouse, creating a vibrant atmosphere for attendees to enjoy music, dancing, food, and more.
