The Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners is seeking sealed bids from qualified persons, companies, or corporations interested in providing construction services for the following project: County Road 65 Attapulgus Highway. The project will include the widening, resurfacing, and installing paved shoulders on CR 65 (Attapulgus Highway) from SR 12 to the Georgia State Line. Also included will be drainage improvements to accommodate the widening of the roadway and signage and striping improvements.

All bids shall be submitted in duplicate (one original and five copies) in sealed envelopes/packages addressed to the Management Services Department and marked "B.I.D. NO. 23-04 County Road 65 Attapulgus Highway;". Any bids received after the designated date will be returned unopened.

The completion date for this project will be 180 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder. The Bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder.
Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be $200.00 per day.
Bids will be received until 4 p.m. (EST) on Monday, June 26, 2023, at the Gadsden County Management Services Department, Room 204, 5B East Jefferson Street, Quincy, Florida 32351, and will be opened and read aloud on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at 10 a.m. (EST) at the County Administrator’s Conference Room at 9B East Jefferson Street, Quincy, Florida 32351.
The County reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and to waive any technicalities or irregularities therein. The County further reserves the right to award the agreement to that bidder whose bid best complies with the specifications. Bidders may withdraw their bid by notifying the County in writing at any time prior to the deadline for bid submittal. After the deadline, the bid will constitute an irrevocable offer for a period of sixty (60) days. Once opened, bids become a record of the County and will not be returned to the bidders. EEO/AA
