NOTICE OF SHADE MEETING
GADSDEN COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Gadsden County Board of County
Commissioners will hold a Shade Meeting pursuant to Section 286.011(8), Florida
Statutes.
DATE: Thursday, May 7, 2026
TIME: 6:00 P.M.
LOCATION: Commission Chambers, 9-B E. Jefferson Street, Quincy, Florida
The purpose of the Shade Meeting is to discuss pending litigation in the case
of:
GADSDEN COUNTY BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS,
Plaintiff,
v. CASE NO.: 2023-CA-013640-O
FLORIDA MUNICIPAL INSURANCE TRUST,
Defendant.
The following persons are expected to attend the Shade Meeting:
• Members of the Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners
• County Attorney and/or designated litigation counsel
• A certified court reporter
The Shade Meeting will be recorded by a certified court reporter. The transcript of the
meeting shall be made part of the public record upon conclusion of the litigation.
This meeting is exempt from the public meeting requirements of Section 286.011,
Florida Statutes, pursuant to Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes.
