PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
CDBG Second Public Hearing Notice
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all concerned that the Board of County Commissioners of Gadsden County, Florida intends, at a regular meeting, at the Gadsden County Governmental Complex, 9-B East Jefferson Street Room 101, Quincy, Florida, at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th day of May, 2026. The County intends to apply for the Florida Commerce FFY 2025 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).
The types of activities that CDBG funds may be used for includes constructing stormwater ponds, paving roads and sidewalks, installing sewer and water lines, building a community center or park, making improvements to a sewage treatment plant, and rehabilitating low-income homes. Additional information regarding the range of activities that could be funded will be provided at the public hearing.

INTERESTED PARTIES MAY APPEAR AT THE MEETING AND BE HEARD WITH RESPECT TO THE PROPOSED APPLICATION. IF A PERSON DECIDES TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WITH RESPECT TO THIS MATTER, HE OR SHE WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS, AND FOR SUCH PURPOSE, HE OR SHE MUST ASSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORDING OF THE PROCEEDING IS MADE, WHICH RECORD INCLUDES TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE BASED.
