CITY OF MIDWAY, FLORIDA
The City of Midway plans to apply to Florida Commerce for a FFY 2025 Small Cities Community Development Block 
Grant (CDBG) in the Neighborhood Revitalization category for grant funding in the amount of $1,464,490. The activities, 
dollar amounts and estimated percentage benefit to low- and moderate-income persons are as follows:

The City of Midway’s CDBG project proposes to complete roadway improvements to: McCray-Martin Road (paving 
1,500 LF remaining unpaved); Lawson Road (paving the last 200 LF remaining unpaved); and Mine Road (resurfacing a 
1,900 LF gap in the middle). Additionally, the City has identified several other sites for improvement: a connector road 
(paving approximately 250 LF currently unpaved) between McCray-Martin Road and Sumter Ridge Drive; Holton Lane 
(resurfacing approximately 200 LF of existing paved road and paving approximately 350 LF currently unpaved); and, 
improvements to Hilltop Park to include a new access road, paved parking and a new restroom facility. Complementary 
drainage improvements for each street will be provided, as needed, in conjunction with all paving and repaving 
activities. The City will commit $50,000 in match funding to support this CDBG project proposal.
The City of Midway does not expect that anyone will be displaced because of the CDBG-funded activities proposed 
above. If any persons are displaced because of the planned activities, the City of Midway will assist them as described 
in the City’s anti-displacement and relocation policy, which is available for review at Midway City Hall located at 50 
Martin Luther King Blvd, Midway, FL 32343.
Fair Housing Workshop: A workshop on local, state, and federal fair housing laws will be held May 7, 2026, at 6:15
p.m.
Public Hearing: A public hearing to provide citizens an opportunity to comment on the application will be conducted 
directly following the fair housing workshop, on May 7, 2026, at 6:15 p.m.
The Fair Housing Workship and Public Hearing will be conducted in a handicapped accessible location at Midway City 
Hall located at: 50 Martin Luther King Blvd, Midway, FL 32343 on May 7, 2026, at 6:15 p.m.
