Planning & Community Development

The Planning and Community Development Department provides technical, professional and administrative support to the Planning Commission , the Local Planning Agency, the County Commission, the County Administrator, various advisory boards and the general public a necessary to implement the Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Codes. Planning and Community Development also provides technical support to the county in the updating of the Land Development Codes and Comprehensive pan, and also provides support necessary to complete the required Evaluation and Appraisal Report. This Department is also responsible for the review of all current planning projects. This includes, but is not limited to, site plan review, stormwater management review, plat and replat submittal, and road construction plans as they pertain to subdivision plats.
